What a Home Inspection Includes
When you look at real estate for sale, it can be hard to notice all of a home’s details. Due to this, if you don’t have an inspection done, you may not notice that there is a significant problem with the property until you move in. After this happens, the previous owner is no longer responsible for taking care of any needed repairs.
During a home inspection, the inspector will evaluate the home and its interior and exterior features and structure. For example, on the outside of the home, the inspector may look at the home’s garage, drainage system, roof, and porch. On the inside, the inspector may look at the property’s floors, ceilings, walls, foundation, heating system, and plumbing. Once these features have been evaluated, the inspector will provide you with a report of what they found and outline any repairs that need to be done.

For this reason, it may be a good idea to schedule a specialized inspection if you have concerns about a certain issue. Some of the most common types of specialized inspections include pest, sewer, asbestos, lead, and chimney inspections.
