Those looking at condo listings have different types of features they look for than buyers of other types of residences. If you haven’t looked into a condo before, or if you are looking to sell your condo, it might be helpful to know what features are most desired in condo listings. Our experience over the years has proven that the following are the most coveted features.
- Upgraded Appliances – Most condo buyers want condo listings that have upgraded appliances, particularly stainless steel appliances. While not all offer washers and dryers, it is an added selling point when these are included.
- Sufficient & Convenient Parking – Condo listings that offer at least two parking spaces per unit and have the parking located where it is convenient for carrying items from the car to the condo unit fare better than those that do not. The availability of covered parking or private garages is definitely a major plus.
- Landscaping – Condo listings that have well-tended and designed landscaping are important to many condo purchasers. If the landscaping is not kept up, it gives the impression that other areas are not maintained well, either.
- Common Area Features – Condo listings can have many different types of common area features, including picnic and grilling areas, swimming pools, tennis courts, play areas for children, community rooms and outdoor recreational areas. As a buyer, you may be interested in some of these or want as many as possible. Always keep in mind that the more amenities that are offered, the higher the dues will be to maintain and repair them.
